Norm and Rich are both correct.
Rich did not tell what the life expectancy of a 4-1000A operated @
7,200 volts with 3000 watts out would be, because the question was
not asked. Exceeding the plate dissipation by a factor of three leads
to a shortened tube life, even if it is mounted in a wind tunnel.
