[Amps] reducing fil E

Does anyone know which gauge of teflon wire to use to drop the filament 
voltage on amps that have a common plate and fil xmfr? About how much wire 
in length is needed for X-amount of drop? I need to reduce the fil. voltage 
on a 572B amp that has a common plate and fil xmfr.
