WOW, I hope their processes (tube testers, HI HI) work better than their spell checker. Pretty sloppy for a customer letter. Don't get me wrong, I have always admired Eimac - but the public 'face' of a company is so very important. It's embarrasing to have a typo... especially in the sentence which describes concern for product quality. Sigh....

I'll go back to sleep now. Bill N2BC

Subject: [Amps] upcoming CPI/Eimac move --- TSPA

This note came in todays mail, a press release from CPI/Eimac Division.

"September 15, 2004

To Our Valued Customers:

Communications and Power Industries (CPI) has reached final agreement with the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) for the purchase by PAMF of the San Carlos, CA. property presently occupied by CPI's Eimac Division. As a result, the Eimac factor will be relocating to the CPI world headquarters in Palo Alto, CA., where they will be located alongside CPI's largest division at the ISO 9001 certified factory that produces world leading klystrons, TWT's, gyrotrons, complex transmitter subsystems, and microwave power modules (MPMs).

Planning for the Eimac Disivon move has been underway for several months, and site preparation in Palo Alto is already progressing. The factory relocation will begin in the Spring of 2005, and will be completed prior to September 2006. All current Eimac products and product lines will be moved, and continued produciton with minimal disruption is anticipated. The move will be carried out in planned phases, so that a timely relocation of a product line or specific process is accomplished prior to moving the next. The Palo Alto locaiton is just 14 miles south of the present Eimac San Carlos location, making the move logistics manageable and the disruption to the Eimac workforce minimal.

CPI is committed to completing this relocation of the Eimac Division with minimal disruption to the supply of products, while maintaining high quality and performance of our products that you have come to expcet from Eimac."
