** For = currents, the wire size needed for single-layer, solenoid wound, HV-RFC service is smaller than that needed in transformer service. The reason is that, for RFC service, all of the wire is cooled by being in contact with air. Thus, #24 gauge Cu will easily carry 3A-rms in RFC service.

From discussions on this reflector and other places, I know that
design of an all-band plate choke for HF pi-networks is quite
difficult when the WARC bands are included.  I came across this one
for sale at RF Parts which claims to offer that capability:
