Hi All,
I'm nearing completion of "the conversion from Hell", removing the
3CV1500 from an Alpha 70V, and installing a 3CX1200Z7. I need to
contact the anode of this tube, which won't accept the usual clip
sort of arrangement.
I'm very tempted to drill and tap a little hole on the periphery of
the anode cooler, and bolt the wire on. I can put it in a position
which minimizes the distance from the RFC/blocking cap junction to
the anode.
Can anybody tell me why I shouldn't do this?
John, Rich, Tom, Ian???
