Hello all,
As I work on my solid state linear amplifier project (water cooled), I
recieved a commercial radiator assy 11" X 11" X 3.5" core with a motor driven
fan (metal blades) and shroud. Motor is 12vdc and that thing was loud. Fan
turned so fast that the metal blades flattened out from the centrifugal force.
Now the question, I don't have access to a high current variable power
supply and alot of my stuff is in storage while I'm here in Japan. I need a
SWAG (Scientific Wild A-- Guess) on some recommended voltages to supply to the
motor. I was thinking to supply 6 volts or 9 volts. I may be able to purchase
a tranformer, rectify it, and seem to remember seeing a variometer on a test
equipment bench at work. Never done this before but figure you guys have
slowed down many a fan.
  73,
  Mike
