Hello all,
If I remember my "Chemistry of the meatllic elements" course
correctly, (muriatic acid, hydrochloric acid,) HCl will DISSOLVE
silver, leaving an insoluble chloride, AgCl, so maybe it's not the
best thing for cleaning silver. It was in 1958 that I took this
course, so I might not be remembering it correctly.
