Your tuning for a peak BUT not exceeding the tubes screen current rating.
The Load cap controls the amount of Isg once the Tune control is set for a
resonance indication on the screen meter. They interact a bit.
Tuning is very similar to a GG amp with both using a grid current as the
best indicator.
You can keep an eye on the grid current but its mainly to keep the drive to
a safe level. Since this is a modification has the grid circuit tuning been
optimized? If not do that first at low power.
