Machlett Labs was located in Springdale, CT and for a time, was a division
of Raytheon. They produced some extreme examples of high-power VTs, many of
which are water and vapor-phase cooled.
Recently, several 'BY' tube manufacturers have been resurrecting old,
quality names (e.g., Taylor Tubes). I would check the origin of those
Machlett tubes before purchase.
