I understand that slow-blow fuses are intended for motors and similar devices
that
normally take a longish time -- maybe a few seconds -- to come up to speed and
draw much
more current in that periods. They are not intended for electronic devices.
If you find that you can't keep from blowing reasonably-sized fuses on startup,
a better
solution is a soft-start circuit. That also lightens the load on relays,
diodes, tube
filaments, etc.
Yes, I know that some amplifier manufacturers have called for slow-blow fuses.
