Good idea with the scope, thanks. I do have a 100:1 5KV probe, but 
haven't used it on a 4KV supply before. I have to admit I'm nervous 
about that. I just bought a DSO and the new scope smell hasn't worn off 
yet...

I've collected the parts, but haven't as yet finished my hipot tester. 
That will probably have to wait until the CNC gear is running again ao 
that I can mill the (3/4" acrylic) front panel and cabinet. We're 
finally getting around to finishing the shop after the last move, so I 
won't have an excuse much longer.

It'll take me a few days to get back to the amp, but when I do I'll grab 
a few images from the DSO and post them on a website for comment. Other 
than some faster-risetime scritch under modulation if there's a problem 
I'm not 100% sure what to look for.
