More wimpy ceramic tubes !!
These tubes may be great for a fixed freq commercial use, tune it and
forget it (almost). But for the heavy-handed Ham who moves around the
bands they are an invitation to disaster. Ergo, all the circuitry to protect
the tube.
Someday, someone will realize this.
Until then I guess I'll stick it out with my Battleship 3CX1200A7 (oh yeah,
they don't make that tube anymore).
