I'm reminded of a proverb (Chinese?) which I may be slightly misquoting:

"The man who has but one watch always knows what time it is, while the man
who has two is never sure."

Since my amp will almost do HALF the legal limit, I don't have any real
concerns.

Not meaning to quote anyone in particular here, but what is this
insecure fixation with watt meters?

Do we want to not break the rules by ten watts? No, I do not care about
ten watts over the limit, and neither do the authorities.

Are we worried that we'll blow the amp up? No....

What is it then?
