I've got an in-warranty 1306 which shows high readings on the PAB
position; it will fault out with the PA light lit when driven over 700
watts output on 17 meters and above, even with a low SWR less than
1.3:1. I understand how the PA balance reading is derived and what it
means. How is it aligned? I don't want to send the amp back to the
factory at the beginning of contest season because I just sold my backup
amp.
