I've repaired several SB-200 amplifiers, and in all but one case, the input
switch index alignment was the problem. Once it was properly aligned, the

The problem might not be the switch. If the contacts are in good condition and
you cleaned the switch the problem might be alignment. The shaft from the main
switch can be rotated by loosening the main nut on the front panel, you have to
align the opening on either end of the switch rotor so that the center of the
opening is in the center of the free switch contact. If the opening is off the
error is compounded and some bands might be shorting. Your moving the band
switch might be breaking the short. Make sure you check that before you go
