I have seen that comment previously. What I have never seen are any numbers or
documents to support it. If any non-anecdotal sources exist I would be
interested to see them.
I converted a Clipperton L to GI-7Bs a while ago and I believe that its
linearity is not only acceptable for amateur radio purposes, but better than
many transceivers.
