New Radios

My per peeve is the lack of a Monitor in the new radios, also main display 
briteness.....
at least in the FT990.......I am fighting an xmit audio distortion problem in 
my new 990
and a monitor wud have helped....the radio is back a Yaesu now and of course 
they say no problem!!   

Right now you have to spend +$3k to get a radio with a monitor!!

I thot the contester was a target market for some of these radios....without a 
monitor 
its hard to tell what ur digital voice recoder is doin!!
