HELP

I am using an FT 1000MP and a 486-66 computer.  I have the com ports set up
as followed:

com 1   mouse
com 2   modem
com 3   ft1000mp using port 300 and irq 10
com 4   pk88 tnc port 308 and irq 9

The 1000mp times out almost instantly without the benefit of any rf being
transmitted.  I can't figure it out so am looking for ideas.
