Gee...what an easy one to answer!  Databases take the place of the op's skill.
Look at it this way:  What is asked of the OPERATOR during the contest?  To
copy and log the callsign CORRECTLY.  If you are NOT SURE, then you should NOT
log the qso.  If you are not sure, but look at the database (super-check
partial?) and "figure out" what it is, how have YOUR skills been tested
against others?  You are just judging your database against someone else's
database...is THAT contesting?  I think not.  What if you are single op and
AFTER the contest you use the "database" generated by the local packetcluster
(or through some mass collection technique).  Are you still "single op
UNassisted?"  IMHO, databases and single op do NOT mix.
