Oh yes, and ARRL also persuaded the FCC to create an absolutely
worthless "new band" on 5+ Mhz. Of course, this is going to mean
literally hundreds of thousands of dollars to the manufacturers. And
no doubt, the ARRL, in all it's wisdom, will pronounce this new band
to be acceptable in contests.
When I flew in the Navy, there was a particular hand signal sometimes
given by a flight leader to their wing man. It is best described a
holding your left hand palm down and horizontal, while making a fist
of your right hand and striking the left hand sharply a couple of
times.
It's meaning is "Get your head out of your ASS!"
