Ron,

It's always nice to hear a "thank you" from the winner of a plaque. I always
take the time to personally thank each sponsor when I'm fortunate enough to
win one. However, my club has sponsored a plaque for a major DX contest for
years and we have never received a note of thanks from the recipient.
Sponsors don't have to do this... it's a big chunk of money from the
treasury of a small club and a "thank you" goes a long way.
