I would suggest that the statement that most in the early  80's  in the top
10 were using  2 radio's is   SUSPECT

         Quacks, ever heard of W0UA?  He was doing
dueling CQ's at least in the 70's from W0TR
and K0RF.  Dual C-lines and the Drake Station
Control...remember those?
