T93Y> If we are going to change CQ WW scoring system (which is not going to
happen) I vote for ANARTS like system Zero point injustice was avoided in SCC RTTY contest established in 1999 by wide internet discussion with the following fair approach to big countries: 7. QSO POINTS - One (1) QSO point for contacts within your own DXCC or WAE country; - Two (2) QSO points for contacts within your own continent but outside your own DXCC or WAE country; - Two (2) QSO points for contacts between different W, VE, VK, ZL, ZS, JA and PY call areas, LU provinces and Asiatic Russia UA9/UA0 oblasts; - Three (3) QSO points for contacts outside your own continent. It was forecasted that numerous USA would win but that never happend! Zero point suits me fine living in the country with 60 miles/ 100 km radius! Once upon a time it was much bigger... 73 de Mario, S56A, N1YU _______________________________________________ CQ-Contest mailing list CQ-Contest@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/cq-contest |
