yes, it does look like ke5bl was blowing his own horn to top the cheerleader
list. but he did stop after someone on the cluster told him it was a 'no
no'.
Single spotter spots... remember, these are spots made by spotters who only
spotted once in the whole contest. (Total=all the spots for the station in
the contest, All=all single spotter spots, DXSummit=single spotter spots
from dxsummit web site)

note above, 5u7jb is what i would call a normal rare dx situation. lots of
dx hunters will get on, work a rare dx station, make a spot, and go away
never to be heard from again. The same with the zl on 10m, it gets some
attention then fades out. but nl7z is very odd. a very large percentage of
spots for the station were from one-time spotters, mostly from dxsummit.
unfortunately i didn't have my dxsummit sucker on all weekend to get the ip
addresses, but here is a sample from about the second half of the weekend:

now here is an interesting one... the data is a bit long but stick with me
on this:
all these spots came from py3paz from node py3nz-8 and were obviously for
zx3s. but note how he got past the cheerleader report by not spotting zx3s,
but by spotting who was working him! this of course leads to lots of spots
on that frequency getting more attention for zx3s than just spottihg him
over and over. unfortunately it is also very obvious to even the most
casual observer what is happening. now closer to the end it also looks like
py3paz has info about zx3s's log, by knowing just what he needs for states.

and don't you love it when they brag about their signal???
the ip info i have on those stations is not useful as it comes from two
different sources a month apart.
