Having put (I hope<grin>) the idea of a contest on the WARC bands to
bed, how about some comments on another radical idea:
- A long-form "non-test". Contest period is a month long, but you can
only count QSOs made during, say, 48 hours of operating during that
month. Exchange is RS(T), QTH, and name. All bands permitted,
including VHF/UHF but excluding WARC and repeaters. All modes permitted
- CW, SSB, RTTY, packet, PSK31, TV (both slow- and fast-scan), etc.,
etc.. One point per QSO, multiplier is the total number of frequency
bands and emission modes on which you make at least one QSO. Five bonus
points for each unsolicited PSE QSL card received within 30 days of the
end of the contest, provided you answer it!
