Cut numbers and letters just don't mix, nohow.  I could not ever see doing 
that.

Last year in the 10 GHz contest I can recall sending "EN61gp" for over 4 
minutes before the station at the other end copied it. No sense using cut 
numbers at that rate!  :-)
