(Tried to send direct but your ISP bounced me)
Tony if one 500 Hz filter is the Inrad 8.8 MHz, try
wiggling it around. I installed one which is a tight fit and
it apparently causes some connection problems. You
can wiggle it with a screwdriver through the vents on the
bottom without taking the cover off if I recall correctly.
I've heard Cliff of AVVID is a good repair guy
if the above fails.
