I remember working VS6DO in a number of contests in the 1980's usually long path from Atlanta. One year in the CQ WW SSB he was booming in over South America at 20 over 9 on 10. Funny but I remember that the only Europeans I worked were back scatter over Europe and limited to Italy and Spain. I don't recall any Japan either. I think my soapbox comment was that I felt like I had worked every LU. Wish all the Chinese and BV's active now were around then but I did win the plaque for USA High score on 10 single band.
