I think this new unlimited-unlimited category is a great idea for several
reasons, but these two come to mind.
1) Most importantly it validates the notion that experimentation and
stretching the technology is REALLY what amateur radio is all about, and an
unfettered category like this puts RadioSport firmly into that space.
2) It gives a great counterpoint to the "boy and his radio" enthusiasts
(like me), providing a playing field whose technology/engineering borders
include turf all the way from "minimalist" to "extreme".
