My good friend Pat, K7KR, passed away yesterday afternoon after a week+ in
the hospital.  He was only 65 but had several bad health conditions and had
been sick about a month.

 

Although not a die hard contester, Pat did operate in the SSB DX contests
and opened his Arizona station to W1AW/7 last year during the IARU.

 

Pat was a friend since high school and we have had a weekly sked for about
15 years.  He helped me immensely in antenna modeling and was a master at
it.
