No idea if that's the reason, but as stand alone subscriptions, 
specially for those outside of the US, they're way overpriced.
I may consider re-joining after this, provided QEX and NCJ do not become 
just another 1-2 page column in QST six months from now.
Let's not mention the horrible online interface, but free, I'll take it. LOL
