I really enjoyed the CQWW RTTY DX contest this weekend. I've been a RTTY op
for about thirty-five years and I miss it these days in regular operation.

I observed many wide signals in the CQWW RTTY contest. They weren't just
strong but were wide.

I'd like to suggest that RTTY ops review the excellent presentation that Ed,
W0YK/P49X, gave at Contest University, Tips to Improve Your RTTY Contesting
Experience. He's given that talk for many years, and he makes a compelling
argument for proper wave shaping of RTTY transmissions.

Don, AA5AU, who is a RTTY legend, has an excellent website at:

For those interested, the RTTY reflector, now on Groups.io, offers lots of
relevant information. It has over 700 members to provide helpful information.
I've been the moderator since about 2008, and all interested are welcome to
join.
