Different situation -- I had persistent RFI to my wife's Micron monitor,
particularly on 80 and 40 and especially on phone. Ferrites on the signal
cable etc. helped not at all.

On RadioShack.com, I found an AC line filter (15-1111) that had a claimed
40 dB attenuation 1-10 MHz, and presumably above. At $12.99, I figured it
was worth a try. Plugged the monitor into it, it into the wall, and voila
-- all my interference, from 80 through 10 meters, was gone. My wife's a
happy camper, and so am I (as a direct result, hi).

The new RadioShack.com web site is a little easier to use, and they have
now incorporated a lot of the stuff from TechAmerica and their old Radio
Shack Unlimited catalogue. They seem to have a pretty large selection of
Amidon part-numbered ferrite cores, for example, as well as a good
selection of reasonably priced EMI filter modules (for building into
equipment) and things like the AC line filter above. The snap-on toroid
cores are down to $7.99 for a package of 2. Probably worth a look --
though the search function is still cumbersome it's at least fast.

Just a customer, sometimes a satisfied one...

Happy Holidays to all!
