The FCC requires receivers operating between 30 and 960 MHz to
comply with FCC Part 15. That's why the sticker is on it.

We would be well advised to ask the FCC to make these labels
made more specific, as under Part 97 and other provisions, you
are NOT required to accept interference.

My new Icom IC-706MkIIG has an FCC Part 15 sticker on it: 
"This device
complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.  Operation is subject
to the
following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause
harmful
interference, and (2) This device must accept any
interference..."

What's up with this?  An amateur tranceiver under Part 15?
