I have had a Dlink router...routers, actually...
and with the present wireless one, I think I'm on my
third model. Maybe fourth. Briefly had a Linksys when
I went to the WLAN, and returned it within 24 hours as a
noise source.

All of the D Links were quiet...some quieter than others.
Ferrite clip-ons adjacent to the ethernet cable at the laptop
reduced the noisier ones to nothing. Shifting to WLAN stopped it completely.
So, I had concluded that it was 10baseT ethernet signals radiating which
were the source of the problem.

Haven't noticed wall warts being a problem, although I try to avoid
them wherever possible, in favor of the house 12v supply. Multiple
ground loops come from multiple wall warts.
