One other thing. Smart meter manufactures have various options to getting
the digital info back to the office. They can use PBL, telephone or "cell
phone" .
In Southern Ontario/Toronto, they are using a small cell phone
type transmitter that thank-fully is probably the best of the methods. But
BEWARE....PBL (or a type of power company BPL) IS an option! And even the
wireless method, as told be some Ontario Hams, causes some interference on
900MHz and other mw bands.
