This may be a silly question but...

I plan on evaluating my house for HF noise sources by powering the radio
from a battery and powering down the rest of the house. I just have to
have some sources with cell phone chargers, computer routers, laptop
chargers and such. Then I'll power up one breaker at a time.

Can I assume that the best receiver settings are AM mode and as the
widest bandwidth filter settings? As each breaker is switched on I
should cycle through the bands? I suppose if I do this I'll need to
cycle the breaker each time I change bands?

I better do this when the XYL isn't home :))
