Hello all,
I have a friend who added two of the Fair-rite 31 mix Ferrite's to a
cable running between his rig, and his tuner, one on each end of the
cable. His antenna is a OCF Dipole roof mounted. On the roof, not
above it.
Prior to Ferrite install his radio ran cool to the touch, and the fans
did not come on much. After ferrite install the radio ran very hot to
the touch.
I had him remove the ferrite's, and the radio runs cool again...
What is happening here, any ideas?
