Hi Rob,

I think you are correct in what the TAC is looking for, but some of the questions are aimed at a methodology for studying the problem. Only a few questions are aimed at technical studies on the subject. I am afraid if not many people respond, the conclusion will be that there is no problem and nothing will be done. One could just copy the question part of the TAC request and just answer the questions that they are able to answer. A few questions answered is better than no response at all.

Tom,

I endorse participation in the ecfs comment system but it is my
perception that the TAC is looking for accurate measurement data taken
in units they understand and not "The noise level at my place stinks
and my AM radio is useless" type input. Perhaps I am mistaken but if
the former is true, then thousands of non-technical editorial comments
will impair their ability to present proof that there is a problem
based on facts collected via the ECFS. Busy hams with jobs and no
time to wade through pages and pages of mumbo jumbo need a list of
step by step instructions on what to do, to collect noise floor data
or whatever the TAC wants and put it into the ECFS. It would be
great if ARRL could provide this instruction.
