Goodman Manufacturing Company makes residential and commercial heating and
cooling equipment. Goodman is headquartered in Houston, Texas, and is owned by
the Japan-based Daikin Industries, which had sales of approximately $2 billion
in 2015.

Corporate History

Goodman Manufacturing was founded in 1975 by air conditioner contractor Harold
Goodman. Goodman purchased Janitrol in 1982 and the Amana brand in 1997. In
2004, Apollo Management, a private investment firm, purchased Goodman for
approximately $1.4 billion. In August 2012, Daikin purchased Goodman. Goodman
continues to operate as an independent company.

I had a quote on a new "Goodman furnace and air conditioner installation.

They will replace the variable speed fan motor with a motor that has relay
selectable windings.

The installer would put in the contract that they will fix any interference.

Anyone know anything about Goodman Furnaces?
