Hi Bill,

from my QRZ site you can see my 10KW installation out in the yard. ( zzzom in on the detail satellite map page pix)

The SolarWorld panels connect to 2     5 KW SMA inverters,,, 5000TL which are transformerless. These replaced 2  # 5000 units which became damaged with a nearby lightning strike, induced into the long data lines. I replaced the data lines with a wifi link eliminating the long ""antenna" into my data network.

Prior to purchase I took my kenwood tf6a on broadcast band ( it has builtin loop ant)  and visited two sites with the proposed equipment. ONLY when I got within INCHES of the SMA units, did I hear anything.

The German designed units are QUITE QUIET. I'm beginning to think the CE certification must mean something, as opposed to the meaningless FCC mark.

When there is a quiet unit available, why not use that one ????

This is my first foray into solar and looking for info on which brand to look for, which
ones to avoid.  Also any info on how to avoid RFI from the systems.  Any other
info will be greatly appreciated.
