I like each transmission on a separate line.
But I do understand those that don't want to
'chase the linefeed scroll'.
The software I use, scrolls down the page, so I find myself chasing a
callsign or serial number occasionally.
The software that I started with, scrolled up, so a transmission was usually
on the lowest line and made finding the data I wanted a bit easier. At least
for me...
For those that like it .... scroll up and those that want scroll down;
Maybe we should urge the authors to make the 'user definable'.
At the speed I make contacts, the extra cr/lf is not an issue.
But super creative, alternative buffer design, does confuse an old brain
like mine.
And just for discussion.
I have extra sets of buffers.
One set of multiple callsign/reports for those weaker stations.
and
One set of single call, single report (nothing but callsign and report) for
those super strong stations.
Sending a report more than once to a weaker or qrmed station seems to cut
down on repeat requests.
I'll leave it up to the mathematicians to determine the time spent to time
wasted advantage.
