AFSK is simple. If the goal is to get more people on RTTY it has to be simple.
2 cables between the computer and radio. A few minutes reading the manual. This
is what gets the masses on for the big weekend RTTY contests, everybody can
figure out soundcard in and out.
I have done the FSK. 2-3 RTTY contests a year. With 4 month gaps between the
contests, I seemed to have endless frustrations trying to get it to work when
I wanted to use it. Sold the interface on Ebay.
I am back on AFSK for good. A K3, $10 Radio Shack audio cables, and N1MM+
