It would be quite simple to build either a passive or active audio
passband filter which could make the more commonly available stereo
phones applicable. Just center the audio filter around your favorite cw
frequency. This is all a "communications" type headphone does but it
does it through restrictive design of the response of the particular
headphone transducer.
