[TenTec] ten tec kit advice/2 meter converter

hello
        i've always wanted to try 2 meter all mode and i'm thinking of building 
up
the ten tec 1210 kit.
        can someone who has built it up give me a brief summary of its
performance. i was hoping it works good.
        also, how does this transverter hook up to a hf rig like a paragon?

also again, has ten tec dumped its production on the little 2 meter all
mode rig it was going to release last fall? i heard the chief engineer
left, anyone replace him?
