Seems to me that I asked Garland at TT service about why 17M was that way
when I had my Corsair I and that he said it was for better suppression of
spurs related to the 9MHz IF. My understanding is that the Omni V/VI also
do the same thing internally, but the V/VI are able to hide the "quirk"
from the operator through the internal computer.
