I just added an RX-340 to the shack. The radio has a direct digital data output. Has anyone ever done anything with that going into a PC? In concept, it would be pretty simple to read in the data and do DSP on it in the PC. With a Pentium III or IV, it should be pretty easy. That way you can process the data stream however you want without waiting for updated firmware from TT. I wonder if the parallel data stream format is compatible with a bi-directional parallel port on a PC? Mark  |
