Hi Mike,
I didn't get a chance to turn the rig on till late, about 5:00pm Eastern
(16:00 Central).  I tried to check in a couple of times, but conditions
were deteriorating as time went on.
I heard several stations with amps and/or big antenna farms;  N8JUP,
N6HEA, N1IPF, and W4RTE.  A couple of these guys were over S-9 here in
Philly.
After the net, things were very hot on 10m;  on 28.447 I talked to W5ES
in El Paso, Texas.  Well over S-9 here.  (probably wearing a big Texas
hat -- full gallon??)
Will try again next week.
