Hi Mark: Down here in the monsoon belt the first thing new hams learn is to 
bring your transmission line to ground level and use a good lightning 
arrestor at ground, and a current balun between the arrestor and ground. This 
pretty well keeps lightning "out in the yard" and RF from making the trip 
into the shack. 
But since the Pegasus does not seem to be affected - I'd try a short and 
known to be good coax jumper to a known good dummy load and see what happens. 
If the Omni VI works as usual you probably have an antenna problem and if the 
problem continues a rig problem.
