Fellow Orion owners:
On the subject of firmware bugs...
I have had my Orion for about a week now. Being new it's at the latest
firmware release (per "rfsquared"). There have been two anomalies fixed by
power on/off resets.
(1) The sweep display "froze". This happened twice.
(2) On CW, after sending each dit and dah there was a hiss which decayed
(fades away) in a fraction of a second.
I sent a report via E-Mail to Gary Barbour and Jack Burchfield at TenTec but
haven't heard from them.
I'm wondering if others have observed this behavior?
I know the firmware fixes will be on a triage basis, that is, the more critical
and more frequently reported problems will be worked first.
